University of North Alabama’s Social Work Program and the Intergenerational Advocacy Steering Committee Annual Conference

Medicare legislation, homeland security issues, financial assistance with increasing prescription drug costs, State and Federal legislative activity---These topics initiate questions and concerns for youth and senior citizens alike.  If you’d like to hear the latest updates on these issues, join the University of North Alabama’s Social Work Program and the Intergenerational Advocacy Steering Committee for their annual conference.  Scheduled for Wednesday, April 28 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. at UNA’s Guillot Banquet Hall, this year’s theme is “Spring Into Action.”  Free to the public, the conference will include numerous displays and informational booths relevant to the needs of today’s senior citizens, presentations with open discussions, door prizes and refreshments.  For more information, contact NACOLG’s Department of Aging Services at (256) 389-0530.
